How to compress VirtualBox image

First, use sdelete from sysinternals to defragment your virtual system.
So, in your Virtual windows do:

sdelete -z c:

Then, exit the image and use:
VBoxManage.exe modifyhd "c:\path\to\thedisk.vdi" --compact
